Ronak Mela Baja has been providing UK audiences with quality classical brass music since 2004, specialising in playing your favourite Bollywood and Bhangra themes of now and yesteryear. The traditional music of Indian film and Punjabi Bhangra combined with the distinctive brass sound creates a sound which is individual and unexpected. Combining a mix of trumpets, French horn, trombone, saxophone, tuba, sousaphone, snare drum and dhols, our band starts from a minimum of five players to a marching band of up to 30 musicians!
Ronak Mela Baja have performed across the UK and have a repertoire that encompasses the 70s, 80s, 90s and songs that have become universally famous in recent times. Whether it's a wedding reception, outdoor festival, club event, private or corporate party - we make every event a celebration!
Ronak Mela Baja uses, for the most part, a five-piece authentic Asian dhol (double-barrelled drum) and typically perform during wedding processions of the bridegroom and his guests, heading towards the church, Gurudwara, Mosque, Mandir or wedding venue - this procession is called the 'Bharaat'.
The concept behind our band is based on the traditional brass bands that you would usually see in the Indian sub-continent which are a permanent fixture of weddings and religious functions in India, Pakistan and south East Asia.
Ronak Mela Baja (Happy Party Band) have been privileged to perform at Asian weddings across the UK as well as in India, Italy, Spain and Canada. Our clients include a number of prestigious brands, VIPs and companies such as HSBC, Barclays Wealth, BBC Radio London, Portsmouth Football Club, Mumbai Rouge and the Lakhani Group as well as performances at world-class venues such as Windsor Castle, Ascot Racecourse and Woburn Abbey.
